The World Premiere live performance of new D-Fuse project Undercurrent takes place on 7 March at National Glass Centre, Sunderland as part of AV Festival 2006. Undercurrent looks at the changing nature of urban life in China + the UK, focussing on river-based cities of Shanghai, Guangzhou, London + Sunderland. The project has evolved into a collaboration between the D-Fuse team [Video – Mike Faulkner + Barney Steel, Audio – Matthias Kispert] + 8GG, Haus M Commune, B6, Zhong Minjie, Lin Zhiyin and Geezer [China], and Zip Design, UVA, Mark Hauenstein. AV Festival happens simultaneously in Newcastle Gateshead, Sunderland + Middlesbrough, from 2-12 March.
